In flow configurations of gases or liquids in pipes and at leakages ultrasound will be emitted because of internal friction. It is possible to locate these high-frequency signals very accurate via ultrasonic detectors. They will be converted into electrical and acoustic signals in SONAPHONE E.
The converted ultrasonic signals can be observed with the fitted speakers or with head receivers absorbing the surrounding sound as recommended.
In non-pressured systems a small ultrasonic transmitter (SONAPHONE T) will be utilised. Its signals pass through the leakage and can be detected by the SONAPHONE E.
Because of its inherent safe execution SONAPHONE E is allowed for Hazard Areas.
Bearing defects of roller bearings result in higher friction and can be identified by using impact sound sensors.
The infrared PC interface and a software packet allow an easy handling of measurement control. Tendencies during monitoring of particular objects can be registered easily.
A connectable temperature sensor shows the temperature, for example at steam traps. Also fluctuations in temperature at pipelines and at thermal strained components can be recorded quickly.
